Thank you for your interest in ordering an Ashes Tribute Pet Portrait from me.
I would like to take this opportunity to say that I am so sorry for your loss. I know this may be a very hard time for you (or your loved one). I also know, from personal experience, just how broken we can feel when we lose our Pets. It can be hard to decide what to do with our Companion's ashes, so a bespoke, painted Pet Portrait with your precious Pet's ashes incorporated may just be the option for you.
- This process doesn't require a lot of your Companion's ashes. When you place an order with me I will send out a small screw-top pot and spatula to collect a small sample (please note, I will require an address from you in order to send this pot and spatula to you). An instruction sheet will also be included to assist you.
- The pot will have the pet's name on and your unique invoice number so that I know when I've received your pet's ashes back to me.
- I will enclose an envelope with my address on it ready for you to send the pot back to me. (If you send a photo of the postage receipt, this postage will be deducted off of final balance).
- Once I've received your Companion's ashes I will let you know and begin painting your precious Pet for you, in the time frame given at the time of ordering.
- I will draw out the pencil outline and send this over to you so you can check you're happy with the general layout. I will then begin painting for you. (see more details below about the ordering/painting process).
- I gently mix the Ashes into the paint and start painting the base layers of the Portrait. This allows them to be safely sealed into the painting as I paint over the top with more details.
- There are 3 x options for incorporating the Ashes - to have them painted in the background only, the pet only, or I can incorporate them throughout the painting (background and pet).
- I will ALWAYS keep your pet's separate from any other Ashes Tribute Portraits. This is to ensure it is 100% only your Pet's ashes on your Canvas Portrait.
- If you wish, any ashes that aren't used can be sent back to you with your finished Painting.
CAUTION
Handling your Canvas ~ although every care has been made to incorporate the Ashes into the paint, with additional paint coats painted over the top and the painting is also sealed with a matt varnish, please treat the canvas delicately.

I completely understand that this may be a very upsetting time/subject for you. Our Pets are more than a four legged friend, they are family! It breaks us when they have gone and we long to have something to remember them by, something to feel they are close. I feel that a Painting of them with their precious ashes in can help to ease that pain.
